No School Today!

Here are some pictures of the worst parts of Amman right now.  Because of the city's lack of a drainage system a little rain is a huge problem.  Amman is built on many large hills and the valleys turn to rivers when the drains can't handle the rain.  It's pretty crazy to see.

And then today...

 SNOW IN AMMAN!

It was pretty cool to see palm trees covered in snow.

Here's to cuddling up at home!
(because no one here knows how to drive in snow)

Oh and Kristy... you might need to repack a little :)

  1. I love it! It's kind of how I picture what Christmas would look like in the middle east, with the snow on the palms. Tell the weather over there to come visit Utah. We could use some rain to clean up the air. :( Thanks for sharing your adventures, as always!

  2. We're getting so much rain here too! Only, luckily, Bryan/College Station has a good drainage system. It's been raining here for like two weeks. How long did it take to get like that in Amman? And did the water drain before the snow came?
